Disclaimer: Don’t underestimate the difficulty of this ride. Nor the beauty of the landscapes on the route. Long Mountain “Tara Dornelor” is a race for runners with a zest for adventure. It is the race that takes you to the highest peak of Bucovina, Giumalău (1,858 m) and some of the most beautiful panoramic views of the region – we say they are worth seeing at least once.

The race starts from Vatra Dornei, in front of the iconic Dornelor Palace (Casino) building. From here, you will climb to the Giumalău peak (1,858+ m) and continue with a descent through the forest and over picturesque hills, until you reach the base of the RUNC (but with a little surprise before). You will continue to climb to the top (1,176+ m), and then descend to the center of Câmpulung Moldovenesc and cross the finish line.
